PROF.DR. EMRAH ARSLAN
Plastic Surgery
He was born in Ankara in 1967. After completing his secondary education at Samsun Anatolian High School, he began his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1986. He completed his medical education in 1992 and received the title of medical doctor. After working as an assistant doctor at the Ankara Numune Hospital Urology Clinic for one year, he left and started his specialization in the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Department at Cukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 1993. He completed his specialization training in 1999 and became a specialist doctor in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
In 2000, he started working as an assistant professor at Mersin University Faculty of Medicine in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Starting from 2003, he worked for over a year as a research fellow in Microsurgery at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, USA. During this period, he conducted studies on experimental face transplantation, craniofacial defect repairs and nerve healing. He won the Best Paper Award at a competition held in Indianapolis with a presentation he made during this time. He also worked with Dr. James Zins at the Cleveland Clinic Plastic Surgery Clinic and learned many surgical techniques related to the face and neck.
He returned to Turkey in 2004 and continued his work. He obtained the title of associate professor in 2005 after passing an exam.
In 2008, he went back to the United States to work with renowned face and nose aesthetic surgeon Dr. Bahman Guyuron, and gained experience in facial aesthetic surgery, nose aesthetic surgery, and migraine surgery.
He began working at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2009. He became a Professor in 2010.
In 2013, he worked actively for three months in the clinic of Dr. Ozan Sozer in El Paso, Texas, USA, where he gained knowledge and experience in facial and neck surgery and body contouring surgery.
Dr. Emrah Arslan retired from his state duty at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in 2021 and immediately opened his own clinic to continue his work in Istanbul.
Interests/Treatments

Dr. Emrah Arslan, who is among the founding members of the Aesthetic Facial and Rhinoplasty Surgery Association, is a member of national and international organizations such as the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Association, Turkish Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, Wound Care Association, BAPRAS, EURAPS and has a very good level of English and intermediate level of German proficiency.
Dr. Emrah Arslan has over 50 published scientific articles in international journals, 12 in national journals, and numerous presentations at national and international congresses. His scientific articles have been cited over 3000 times to date.
